Take a Llama for a Walk
Tall, dark and incredibly handsome, Pyewacket peers down his nose at the creek and flattens his ears against his neck. His big, brown eyes grow bigger. "Come on Pye. Good boy." I jump the water and gently tug his rope. I click. Cajole. Plead. Suddenly he leaps, saddle bags and legs flying. An airborne llama is a rare spectacle in Victoria's Alps, but equal to summer's wildflower display and - if you don't move aside in time - as breathtaking as the views.
